We thought the coldest weather was over with when we started 2012, and yet all of a sudden the temperature has dropped and snow has fallen (and continues to do so!) in the nursery garden. A snowman, snow angels and a lot of welly prints are what’s left of the children’s fun time outdoors at the end of this week!
We have also enjoyed spending time in the sports hall – playing lots of ball games and parachute games and completing lots of fun challenges. Much dryer and not quite as slippery as the garden at the moment!
Inside, the nursery is taking shape – we’ve got our winter theme display up with a giant weave the children have made and our ‘new beginnings’ display with lots of photos of the children enjoying themselves. Children’s artwork is up on the walls and we have some exciting plans for making winter mobiles to hang from our ceiling next week.
If you’re wondering if there’s a particularly good time to visit nurseries, well half terms the time to do it! We’re a bit quieter over this next week, what with some children joining their older siblings over the holidays, so don’t hesitate if you want to pop in and say hi.
Here’s looking forward to the next half term!
February Half Term…
