Finally! We are able to reopen our doors again and start welcoming families back to Muddy Boots, and we can’t wait! It’s been incredibly strange over the past couple of months, with all the rooms looking a bit too organised, the gardens a little too tidy and the whole place way too quiet!
To make the transition a little smoother, we wanted to put out this quick blog, just to tool you up to tell your child what nursery might look and feel like when they return. We are dreaming of the day where everything can be completely normal, but for now the tweaks we need to make to the day to day running to keep everyone safe are essential. Here are how we would encourage you to walk your little one through the changes (where you see fit!):
When we arrive
When we get to nursery, it might be a little different. We might have to use a different door to usual, and we might have to wait a little longer than we used too, but one of the team will be there to show us where to go.
Bubbles
Sometimes you might not get to play with everyone, because that is the best way to keep everyone safe. Don’t worry though, you will have lots of friends around, and lots of the Muddy Boots team!
Keeping our hands clean
It’s still really important to make sure our hands are clean all the time, so when we get to nursery we will be using some special solution to make sure our hands are sparkling, and then you will be washing your hands throughout the day to keep any bad germs away.
Facemasks
When other Mummies and Daddies come to pick up your friends, they might be wearing a mask over their face. This doesn’t mean they aren’t well, and it isn’t anything to be scared of, it’s just so they feel more comfortable.
When it’s time to go home
When it’s time to leave, you might see Mummy or Daddy waiting to come into the room to get you. It isn’t because we can’t wait to see you and hear about your day, it’s just because only a couple of people can be in the room at one time.
Hopefully some of this is helpful! Obviously, no one knows your little one quite like you, so you will be the best person to phrase and explain any of these things, as well as anything else. Please be assured that all our staff team will be available at all time to reassure any fears, and ensure that your little one has a fun filled, fantastic nursery experience over the next few weeks, all whilst doing everything we can to keep everyone safe!
