Due to internal promotion within our management structure, an exciting opportunity has come up for our Preschool Room Leader at our Poppleton Nursery.
Summary of the Role:
This is a key role within one of our largest settings at Muddy Boots and offers progression for the right candidate moving from either a Deputy Room Leader or an experienced Practitioner role with a Level 3 qualification.
As a Room Leader at Muddy Boots, you will work as part of a wider leadership team to lead and inspire your team every day to ensure that all children receive high-quality care and support, are kept safe, receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual learning needs, all whilst having a tonne of fun every day!
The role is full time, 38 hours per week spread across 4 full days with a set day off each week
Pay & Key Benefits:
- Salary up to £22,266.60
- Additional financial uplifts for added responsibility (e.g. SENCo)
- 28 days holiday + additional days for length of service
- From 40 – 60% staff discount towards childcare fees at Muddy Boots & our Pioneers Out of School Clubs

Here at Muddy Boots we are growing and on the hunt for our next best Early Years Teacher. This key role in our Nursery needs someone with leadership experience and excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
Summary of the Role & Responsibilities:
As EYT at Muddy Boots, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager and also as part of a wider leadership team.
- Provide high standards of quality teaching within Pre-School including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
- Inspire the Pre-School team to plan appropriately for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance
- Maintain accurate and effective children’s records, being responsible for own group of Key Children
- Lead on ‘School Readiness’ teaching for the older Pre-School Children
- Lead on Early Talk Boost programme
- Effectively manage EYPP funding.
- Support the development of good practice with regard to Special Educational Needs & Disabilities and Inclusion
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members, establishing effective relationships
- Build working relationships between Muddy Boots and other agencies including area SENCOs, Early Years Advisors, Health Professionals and others as appropriate.
- Managing own time efficiently to be most effective with children both when in ratios and during planning time.
