Hi Kelsey! How long have you worked at Muddy Boots?

I have worked at the Acomb site for just under 2 years, but officially part of Muddy Boots for 5 months.

How long have you worked in childcare & what childcare qualifications do you currently hold?

I have worked in childcare for just over 3 years. I hold a level 2 childcare qualification, i am just about to be signed off to be level 3 qualified.

Why did you first want to start a career in childcare?

After leaving school I went to college to do Health and Social Care for a couple of months, realised college wasn’t for me and went into a childcare apprenticeship. Having a big family made me want to get into childcare.

What did you do before working at Muddy Boots Nursery?

Ive had a few jobs before Muddy Boots, working in a Cafe, another nursery setting and then Beefeater restaurant and then Muddy Boots.

What do you most enjoy about working at Muddy Boots?

I enjoy seeing the impact we are making on each child and seeing how happy it makes the parents.

Do you have any children yourself? Do you have any pets?

Not to children, but I have a white Japanese akita called Bo.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time at home with family. I like to go shopping on weekends.
