How long have you worked in childcare & what childcare qualifications do you currently hold?

I have worked in childcare for 19 years, and have level 4 in childcare, as well as TEFL & first aid qualifications

Why did you first want to start a career in childcare?

I have a naturally nurturing nature, so had to choose between healthcare or childcare. Tried a bit of care work in the community and did an NVQ, as well as being a healthcare assistant, but due to wanting a less time consuming career (so I can start a family) and a bad back, I settled back into childcare. I treat all the children in my care as I would my own.

What did you do before working at Muddy Boots Nursery?

Worked for Kaleidoscope nursery, and before that for the NHS as a healthcare assistant.

What do you most enjoy about working at Muddy Boots?

It’s very naturally nurturing

Do you have any children yourself? If yes, what are there names/ages/sexes?

I have two children, a boy and girl, Joshua and Ziva aged 6 and 4.

Do you have any pets?

I have a Praying Mantis

What do you like to do outside of work?

Doing mum stuff with the kids and any kind of arty creations.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself…

I am a gold medalist rifle shooter.

Finally, tell us your likes & dislikes!

I like arts, movies, winter, broadening general knowledge on phycology, biology, natural world and other interesting things, being a mum and wife. Don’t like gooseberries or rhubarb.
