Muddy Boots Drighlington

Our three acre site has huge outside play areas with large and small climbing frames, rubberised play surfacing and grassed areas, as well as our purpose built, modern building full of outstanding indoor environments.

Each room has direct access to separate, age-appropriate outdoor play areas and we encourage the children to make their own choices about whether they want to play indoors or outdoors. The atrium also doubles as a break out room for large activities and movement play during the day.

Our Drighlington Nursery is located on the A650 Drighlington bypass, just off the M62 - so it is perfect for anyone travelling from Manchester or Halifax into Leeds or Bradford.

Our Rooms

  • he Discoverers Room is where all our youngest babies have lots of fun and cuddles. In the Discoverers Room we do our best to make sure our families feel as settled and reassured as possible. At this very early age, babies are taking everything in – watching and observing everything around them, listening to all the interesting new sounds, and learning by feeling and touching everything in sensory exploration.  We work to encourage a baby’s development in a space which is homely, nurturing and stimulating.

  • And they’re off! No longer babies, children in this room are keen to get going and start going on their own little Adventures! Toddlers at this age are starting to find their feet and independence is really starting to shine through. Each day the carefully planned activities are engaging and exciting, bringing new challenges and experiences for the children. To support the child in their quest to a newfound freedom, adults provide a fantastic environment where children are safe to independently explore, experiment and learn through play.

  • With growing confidence, and with their own unique personality really coming through, children at this age are starting to really develop social skills and make lasting friendships. In the Investigators Room we support these skills by focusing on group activities, indoors and outdoors, offering lots of physical and social interaction. With a room full of curious resources and treasures and a team with a wealth of knowledge, these little Innovators can spend time developing key skills such as communication and independence whilst fostering that beautiful sense of awe and wonder that our little people already have in abundance.

  • The Pre-school Room is always buzzing with energy as the children begin their first steps to mainstream education, getting ready to go to Reception at big school. There are opportunities to learn at every turn, including early reading and maths skills, mark-making, imaginative play and ICT, which are reinforced through what we call ‘purposeful play’. Activities and play experiences are planned to ensure each child is challenged and given a chance to learn and develop on an individual basis, whilst having lots of fun of course!

  • Pioneers is our Out of School and Holiday Club, providing children between the ages of 4-11 a fun and exciting environment to play and relax before and after school.

Pioneers have a play room with a creative area, games station and role play corner, a dining room and free flow access to our large outdoor garden space, which has large fixed play equipment, vegetable plots and planters, a natural woodland area and large lawn for outdoor games.

We believe in working collaboratively with the children to ensure the environment meets their needs and interests, and so actively encourage them to tell us what they think and suggest changes we can make to ensure it’s as engaging and exciting as possible.

Sessions & Fees

  • Your journey will start with a phone call with one of our team, where you will get an overview of what life is like at Pioneers, as well as having plenty of time to ask all the questions you have.

  • If after your phone call you think Pioneers might be a great fit for your little one (and you!), you will be invited to book a setting visit, where you and your little one can come and see it for yourself

  • If after your visit you decide Pioneers is the setting for you (yippee!), our team will take you through the sign-up process, and get you signed up for our nursery app to keep you fully in the loop. That being said, we do offer a first-week guarantee, so if after a week it isn’t working for you or your child, you can walk away without paying a thing!
