Muddy Boots Wilberfoss
Set in the beautiful village of Wilberfoss, conveniently placed next to Wilberfoss C of E Primary School is our third setting, Muddy Boots Wilberfoss.
Each of the rooms follows the Muddy Boots theme & style to support our curiosity approach to childcare, as well as having direct access to an outdoor garden space, which supports our whole ethos – to not be afraid to let children learn by getting muddy, exploring, going on adventures and getting out there and having a go!
The children who call Muddy Boots home enjoy a wide range of activities, both indoor and out, planned by our qualified and experienced childcare professionals, who genuinely love and care for all the children, and love what they do!

Our Rooms

The Discoverers Room is where all our youngest babies have lots of fun and cuddles. At this very early age, babies are taking everything in – watching and observing everything around them, listening to all the interesting new sounds, and learning by feeling and touching everything in sensory exploration. We work to encourage a baby’s development in a space which is homely, nurturing and stimulating.
-
And they’re off! No longer babies, children in this room are keen to get going and start going on their own little Adventures! Toddlers at this age are starting to find their feet and independence, and it really starts to shine through. Each day childcare is carefully planned, with activities that are engaging and exciting, bringing new challenges and experiences for the children. To support the child in their quest for newfound freedom, adults provide a fantastic environment where children are safe to independently explore, experiment and learn through play.

Innovators is our school-hour offering at Muddy Boots, split between term-time-only free sessions, and full-year, school-hour childcare.
Our Innovators enjoy the same Muddy Boots childcare, both indoors and outdoors, offering lots of physical and social interaction, opportunities for group play, and plenty of time to develop unique interests. With a room full of curious resources and treasures, and a team with a wealth of knowledge, the Innovators spend time developing key skills such as communication and independence, whilst fostering that beautiful sense of awe and wonder that children already

The Pre-school Room is always buzzing with energy as the children begin their first steps to mainstream education, getting ready to go to Reception at big school. There are opportunities to learn at every turn, including early reading and maths skills, mark-making, imaginative play and ICT, which are reinforced through what we call ‘purposeful play’. Activities and play experiences are planned to ensure each child is challenged and given a chance to learn and develop on an individual basis, whilst having lots of fun of course!

Pioneers is our Out of School and Holiday Club, providing children between the ages of 4-11 a fun and exciting environment to play and relax before and after school.

Meet the Team
Pioneers Out of School Club
Pioneers is our Out of School and Holiday Club, providing children between the ages of 4-11 a fun and exciting environment to play and relax before and after school.
Pioneers have a play room with a creative area, games station and role play corner, a dining room and free flow access to our large outdoor garden space, which has large fixed play equipment, vegetable plots and planters, a natural woodland area and large lawn for outdoor games.
We believe in working collaboratively with the children to ensure the environment meets their needs and interests, and so actively encourage them to tell us what they think and suggest changes we can make to ensure it’s as engaging and exciting as possible.

How to Join
-
Your journey will start with a phone call with one of our team, where you will get an overview of what life is like at Pioneers, as well as having plenty of time to ask all the questions you have.
-
If after your phone call you think Pioneers might be a great fit for your little one (and you!), you will be invited to book a setting visit, where you and your little one can come and see it for yourself
-
If after your visit you decide Pioneers is the setting for you (yippee!), our team will take you through the sign-up process, and get you signed up for our nursery app to keep you fully in the loop. That being said, we do offer a first-week guarantee, so if after a week it isn’t working for you or your child, you can walk away without paying a thing!
