Wow, hasn’t January come around fast! We had such a busy December I didn’t get round to writing a blog post, but here’s a quick update as to what we got up to in Muddy Boots:
Jenna cooked up a fantastic Christmas dinner – turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, mashed sweet potato, sprouts, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, yorkshire pudding, gravy and chocolate pudding all made for an excellent festive treat. The children all enjoyed pulling crackers, listening to christmas songs and wearing their party hats!
Then, we had a visit from Santa during our Christmas party! Lots of fun was had having lots of tasty party food, playing lots of games and having a chat with Santa. He’d even bought us all a gift.
We also had our most recent OFSTED inspection in December and were very pleased to again receive a ‘Good’ rating. The report can be found on our website, or on http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection-reports/find-inspection-report/provider/CARE/EY440563.
Well, after a busy christmas, the new year is now here and nursery is back in full swing. We are very pleased to welcome two new Nursery Practitioners to the nursery, Rachel Anderson who is Level 3 qualified and Mel Gill who is Level 6 qualified with her Early Years Professional Status. They both have lots of experience working in early years settings and are set to be valuable members of the team.
We sadly say ‘goodbye, for now’ to Ruth Shaw, who has been a greatly loved member of the team at Muddy Boots since we opened. Ruth has now decided to retire, but would still love to be involved so is staying around as supply cover. We will miss her lots!
